St Andrew’s Church

St Andrew’s Church

Bordering the Wiltshire/Dorset boundary, in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) there is a glorious part of England on the Dorset-Wiltshire border known as The Donheads. The Donheads (St Mary & St Andrew) are a tangle of villages loosely interlinked by winding lanes and identified by the names of saints. Donhead St Andrew is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, on the River Nadder. It lies just off the A30 and not far from A303, 4 miles (6.4 km) east of the Dorset market town of Shaftesbury, and only 4.4 miles to Tisbury. The mainline train goes from here direct to London Waterloo (1hr 50mins).

In the prettiest of villages, the Talbot Cottage is nestled discreetly behind the church off St Bartholomew’s Lane, surrounded by gardens and approximately 7 acres of fields and woodland, bordering the River Nadder.
